USA – Call for immigration reform includes work authorization for family members
26 February 2013The American Council on International Personnel recently released its principles for immigration reform, including visas and work authorization for spouses, permanent partners and children of skilled foreign professionals.
The group is a leading voice on employment-based immigration in the USA. In 2001, Permits Foundation cooperated with ACIP to promote employment authorization for spouses of L and E visa holders, which became law in December that year. Now it’s time to extend the concession to other skilled visa holders and to recognize permanent partners too. Permits Foundation applauds this initiative.
