In which countries can an accompanying partner get a work permit at present?

Currently, there are approximately thirty-five countries that allow the (married) spouse or sometimes even the accompanying (unmarried) partner or children to work freely. For example, the UK, The Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada allow spouses and partners to work. The USA allows married spouses to work. Some countries such as Japan, Malaysia and Singapore do not have a completely open permission to work but have a simplified procedure for an accompanying married spouse.

It is essential to check the detailed arrangements, which are derived from the visa of the assigned employee, and any conditions attached to the spouse, partner or other family members.
