A look back at Permits Foundation Conference 2024

Where next?

On 5 June 2024, Permits Foundation hosted our Conference: Partnering for Progress, in London. The event aim was not only to showcase the Foundation’s latest advocacy and impact of our work but also to give back by delivering original content, covering breaking developments and reflecting a variety of perspectives. We heard from high-level corporate and government speakers and also from international partners themselves. The day achieved more than we could have hoped for and we are immensely grateful for our engaged and supportive audience who provided such wonderful discussion and input. Over the course of the afternoon we covered:

  • Working rights for dependants as a key success factor in the transformation of global mobility
  • The geopolitical landscape in 2024, a transitional year
  • Employers as drivers for change: enabling dual careers and the ripple effect

If you missed us this time you can still get a flavour of the day by taking a look at the conference photos (below) or exploring the ‘speakers’ and ‘media’ buttons (above). Also, feel free to let us know in which country you would most welcome improved partner/spouse work access by clicking on the ‘where next?’ button. Many participants wanted to know how they could get more involved and share our work with colleagues within their organisation. You can always reach out to the team to set up an informal introductory call, arrange an internal presentation and/or to partner for progress through sponsorship.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended. Special mention to EY for the outstanding venue and hospitality! We felt the warmth and support in the room and are energised as we go forward with advocacy in key destinations on behalf of employers and international families.
